Yellow Jacks

Another good day of diving, save for a few technical problems. One neat thing we’ve noticed on this trip is that we are running into a lot of people that we met when we were here last September. Many of them are fellow divers, the people we tend to spend the most time with in general.

We also took the kids snorkeling for the first time yesterday in the ocean. Naturally Declan took right to it. Brynne, on the other hand, proved that it is possible to let out an ear piercing scream while under water. She was terrified of the fish (seeing nature first-hand is not my princess’s idea of a good time.) But she did lighten up and we were able to get her interested in trying it again.

This video is one that was shot at the end of today’s dive when we were surrounded by several schools of fish. These yellow Jacks were particularly neat. However as you will be able to tell, they did not really like it as I swam through their school. I also saw a lobster today at a depth of 80 feet or so. It had to be at least 2 feet long and looked d-e-e-e-e-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. Due to operator error, I only have a quick glimpse of it on video. Better luck next time. Enjoy the jacks.

Videos are indeed cool. Felt I was down there under the sea! I’m glad you took the kids for snorkeling. fun.
Back from trip to G. on the Lake where it rained most of weekend! Wine tour and dinner theater helped us forget yucky weather.
